Technology Blueprint employee Darren Tosh faced the challenge of a lifetime when he recently ran the London Marathon.
On April 17th 2011 Darren completed 26 miles 385 yards in order to raise money for the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust. The Trust provides respite for children with life threatening conditions and support for the whole family at the hospice and in their own home.
After completing over 600 miles in training a hot day meant that the task was a little more difficult than Darren had anticipated but he was overall very happy with what he had achieved:
“I didn’t quite manage to get the time that I had hoped for due partly to the hot conditions and also because I ignored all the advice I was given prior to running and went off too fast in the first half of the race! I am however delighted that I managed to complete it and that I have raised so much money for the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice Trust. Overall the day was a fantastic experience.”
